Magnefy Earns $1.5M Pre-Seed and $304K in NSF Phase I STTR
Magnefy, the innovative Stanford spin-out formerly known as Infinion, announced a successful funding round of $1,500,000 that will accelerate its groundbreaking work in edge AI-powered, high-frequency magnetic sensing.
This significant investment will enable the company to develop further its state-of-the-art, non-invasive IoT solution, which is revolutionizing the maintenance of critical power assets such as transformers, switchgear, and generators.
By capturing 250× more low-noise, high-frequency data than legacy systems, Magnefy’s technology accurately detects failures like partial discharge and higher harmonics weeks to months in advance — all at just one-tenth of the cost of traditional monitoring solutions.
The funds raised will be instrumental in scaling Magnefy’s operations, enhancing the research and development efforts to keep its technology at the forefront of predictive maintenance, and expanding its market reach to serve mission-critical facilities that include data centers, Independent Power Producers (IPPs), utilities, and various manufacturers.
With the growing need to avoid costly power outages and improve system reliability, this funding injection comes at a pivotal time for Magnefy as it continues to drive innovation in power asset management.
The company remains committed to helping customers boost reliability and maximize power efficiency through advanced sensor technology, positioning itself as a trusted partner in the era of smart, connected infrastructure.
With this strong financial backing, Magnefy is poised to not only redefine predictive maintenance but also set new benchmarks in cost efficiency and operational performance for the power industry.
